Director of Patient Financial Services

The Director of Patient Financial Services (PFS) provides strategic and operational leadership for all patient financial services functions, including eligibility verification, authorization management, billing, denial resolution, accounts receivable, and collections. This role is responsible for driving revenue cycle performance, developing high-performing teams, strengthening payer relationships, and partnering with operational leaders to support exceptional patient access and financial outcomes.
 
Expectations and Structure:
  • Full-time position overseeing a team of up to 15 revenue cycle employees, both in-house and offshore personnel.
  • Lead high performing teams managing eligibility, authorization, billing and accounts receivable services
  • Business development support role with internal customers to drive optimal financial margins, high collection ability and business strategy opportunities.
  • Accountable leadership role with Nursing Division locations including the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware.
  • Payor relations with identified payor representatives to support stronger partnerships, referrals, administrative responsibilities and collections.
  • Engagement with new business development and growth opportunities for the applicable market(s).
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree within the field of business, finance or healthcare administration
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience with direct accountability over team performance
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare/homecare revenue cycle with proven experience in reaching industry standards.
  • Strong business intelligence with managed Medicaid payors and state Medicaid regulations especially in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Knowledgeable about branch / business operations related to homecare private duty nursing and aide services
  • Ability to negotiate with payors to improve rates and processes to improve business outcomes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, including presentations and participation in business meetings
  • Project management and process improvement skill set, including ability to utilize AI tools.
