Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide exceptional customer service while performing all assigned duties, essential and non-essential. Key job functions include but are not limited to: Enter all referral types into MatrixCare and SalesForce, assign referrals to Patient Access Scheduling Coordinators, complete Medicaid insurance verification and enter into MatrixCare for referrals entered. A successful Patient Access Referral Coordinator provides exceptional external and internal customer service. In addition to high individual performance, a Patient Access Referral Coordinator is expected to support peers, lead best practices, process improvement and continuous enhancements of all Patient Access functions. Ongoing collaboration among team members and with the Manager/Area Director of Business Operations is required to ensure optimal operating effectiveness. Reports To: · Manager of Business Operations, Intermountain West Education/Licenses/Certifications: · High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree or technical school preferred · Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare organization, preferably with patient access and EMR work experience. · Demonstrated computer proficiency including but not limited to spreadsheets and email. Experience/Requirements: · Strong communication, customer service and emotional intelligence · Adaptable to continual change and improvement · Ability to gather objective information, define problems, understand facts relative to priorities, and determine viable solutions – critical thinking and problem-solving skills · Involves appropriate individuals at appropriate times, and escalates issues as needed · Acts with professionalism and dedicated work ethic · Attention to detail, accuracy, and effective organizational skills · Understands therapy notes, physician’s orders and components of a patient’s home healthcare medical record · Ability to work with spreadsheet filters, formulas, sorting, uniform data entry, and other related spreadsheet (Google Sheets and Excel) skills. · Ability to perform administrative functions in a remote or office environment. Essential Job Functions Include, but are not Limited to: · Enter PCP referrals into MatrixCare and SalesForce. · Enter Interdisciplinary referrals into MatrixCare and SalesForce. · Enter Website referrals into MatrixCare and SalesForce. · Assign referrals to Scheduling Coordinator. · Complete Medicaid insurance verification for referrals entered. · Have insurance conversations with families. · Enter and maintain accurate information and communication notes in electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain confidentiality with protected health information (PHI). · Connect referrals with clinicians efficiently, accurately, and with a high level of customer service. · Champion team and individual goals while working closely with the Manager/Area Director of Business Operations. · Lead by example with excellent customer service, communicating in a positive and effective manner with families, referral partners, physicians, and clinicians, via phone and email. · Lead and support process improvement for all Patient Access functions. · Online presence and communication when working remotely. · Other Coordinator duties as assigned. · Meet performance and productivity standards as defined for Business Operations. Working Conditions: · Primarily indoor setting with a moderate noise level. · Most work is performed in a climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to hazardous conditions. Physical Requirements: · Ability to regularly sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Annual Salary Range:
Full-Time, $20.00 to $22.00/hour
