SCHOOL BASED AUDIOLOGIST

$58-62 

An educational audiologist specializes in diagnosing and managing hearing impairments in students, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed academically.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assessment and Diagnosis, Working with IEPS, Providing Support and therapy to students and families, Working with Teams within the schools to cross collaborate.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:  state licensure and certification in audiology.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with students, parents, and educational staff

Experience/Requirements:

  • Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
  • Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
  • Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsive to requests.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
