Pediatric Care Consultant

McAllen, TX · Healthcare
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Pediatric Care Consultant to join our team in the Rio Grande Valley. This role combines business development, marketing, and relationship management to help expand our pediatric services within the community. As a Pediatric Care Consultant, you will play a vital role in building strong partnerships with physicians, case managers, referral coordinators, and other key stakeholders to drive growth and ensure families receive the best care possible.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement sales/marketing plan for In home healthcare.
  • Responsible for census development through the implementation of external and internal sales & marketing programs with both existing and new accounts.
  • Work with families and community partners both virtually and in person to provide guidance on programs designed to improve patient outcomes .
  • Maintain up-to-date key account records including background, contact history, objectives, referral trends, etc.
  • Ability to develop an adequate knowledge of State, Federal and other regulatory requirements related to the facility.
  • Maintain up-to-date information, as needed, on specifically assigned competitors including pricing, census, product information, and marketing strategies.
  • Report progress versus goals and census development barriers.
  • Contact key physicians and other health care representatives on a regular basis.
  • Perform sales calls on a routine basis.
  • Work with other agencies and promote good community relations through involvement in community events.
  • Provide input and advice concerning advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media and direct mail.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma required; college degree in marketing or business preferred
  • Two years of experience in healthcare sales experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently, possess strong self-management skills in the field
  • Must be highly motivated, goal oriented and energetic
  • Ability to build credibility quickly and build relationships to nurture and maintain strong relationships with the clinicians in the territory
  • Possess strong communication skills to include presentations and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain organized and focused on multiple priorities


Special Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid state driver's License with reliable transportation and applicable car insurance, or reliable transportation available to timely make appointments as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, bend, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Ability to frequently use hands to type, write, push, file, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
  • The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions in the process of travel to outside appointments.
  • The work environment is highly variable, as duties are provided in a variety of community sites.
  • Lighting, acoustics, air quality, temperature and environmental hazards are not predictable.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.

Travel:
  • The employee is required to travel frequently to complete agency business.
